The Nightmare Begins

Meg's ordeal began in 1984 when she started working as a nurse at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Little did she know that her workplace was about to become the hunting ground of a ruthless killer.

In the months that followed, several patients died under suspicious circumstances. Their deaths were initially attributed to medical complications, but a growing number of staff members began to suspect foul play. Meg, with her keen observation skills, noticed strange patterns in the deaths. She observed unusual medications being administered, unexplained cardiac arrests, and a disturbing frequency of deaths during the night shifts.

Uncovering the Truth

As Meg's suspicions grew, she decided to investigate further. She meticulously documented her observations, noting irregularities in patient records and discrepancies in the nurses' notes. Her determination to uncover the truth put her at great risk.

Meanwhile, the killer, Charles Cullen, continued his deadly rampage. Cullen, a seemingly ordinary man, was a skilled nurse with a dark secret. He had a long history of psychiatric problems and had been fired from several hospitals for unexplained reasons.

The Angel of Death

As Meg delved deeper into her investigation, she stumbled upon a chilling fact. Cullen had been known by his fellow nurses as the "Angel of Death," a moniker that sent shivers down their spines. It was a cruel and ironic twist of fate, as Meg herself had been dubbed the "Meg Angel" by her colleagues.

Meg's suspicions about Cullen intensified when she discovered that he had been fired from his previous job shortly before the string of deaths began at Good Samaritan. She realized that Cullen was targeting vulnerable patients, administering lethal doses of medication to hasten their deaths.

The Breakthrough

Meg's relentless pursuit of the truth eventually bore fruit. She gathered a wealth of evidence, including Cullen's patient records, medication orders, and statements from other nurses who had witnessed suspicious behavior. Armed with this information, she confronted her superiors and demanded action.

Initially met with skepticism and disbelief, Meg refused to give up. She presented her findings to the local authorities, who launched an investigation into Cullen's activities. In December 1987, Cullen was finally arrested and charged with 13 counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder.

Cullen's Confession

In a chilling confession, Cullen admitted to killing up to 40 patients over the course of his career. He described his crimes as a way to "end their suffering," but his actions were a heartless act of control and manipulation.

Cullen's arrest and confession brought a sense of relief to the victims' families and the community. Meg's bravery and tenacity had played a pivotal role in bringing the serial killer to justice.

Legacy of Meg Angel of Death

Meg's experience as a survivor of a serial killer has had a profound impact on her life. She has dedicated herself to advocating for victims' rights and raising awareness about the dangers of healthcare malpractice.

In 1998, Meg co-founded the Charles Cullen Victims' Family Fund to provide financial and emotional support to the families of Cullen's victims. She also helped establish the National Healthcare Whistleblower Center, an organization that supports healthcare professionals who expose wrongng in the healthcare system.

Meg's story has been featured in numerous books, articles, and documentaries. She has become a symbol of courage and resilience, inspiring others to speak out against injustice.

Meg Angel of Death is a compelling story of survival and heroism. Meg's unwavering determination to uncover the truth and confront a ruthless killer is a testament to the human spirit's ability to triumph over adversity. Her legacy as a victims' rights advocate and whistleblower continues to inspire those who fight for justice and accountability in the healthcare system.

Meg's story serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance, observation, and speaking out against wrongng. By sharing her experience, she empowers others to challenge injustice and protect the vulnerable.
